"Dramatically coloured radish, traditionally eaten with beer"

Dramatic black roots with starkly contrasting white centres.  Traditionally stored as a winter vegetable, it is great for salads or cooked dishes.  For glazed radishes, boil until tender, drain off water, add butter and 2 teaspoons of sugar, serve when sugar has melted.

Aussaat Anweisung

For outdoor sowing:

From June to August, in a prepared seed bed.

Sow thinly in rows 25cm. apart. Cover lightly with 1,5cm. of ine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.

When large enough thin to 15cm. apart. Keep moist, dry conditions may cause 'tougher' roots.
