"A delicious gourmet bean with long straight, fleshy pods"
Developed in France during the 1800's and still one of the best tasting beans around. This filet bean produces masses of long slender pods that are best picked when young. Fantastic served steamed with chopped radishes, olive oil and lemon juice dressing and seasoning.
Sow one or two seeds per pot 2.5cm. deep. Cover with 2.5cm of fine compost. Cover pots with glass or polythene. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approx. 15ºC-20ºC. Seedlings appear 7-14days.
Remove cover when seedlings appear. Stand outside for a few days late may (avoid frosts)
Transplant 25cm. apart in rows 45cm apart. Support with twigs in windy sites if necessary. Keep moist and weed free.
